Retirement Spreadsheet - Scored and Ranked by State
Not much to this, but I decided to analyse this particular website's position on where to retire by state. GoBankingRates.com had a slideshow that looked at the average median income, and average annual expenses to live for each state (plus the District of Columbia). I created a rank and scoring system based on average annual income, annual retirement costs, the difference between the two, ranked these in increasing order, calculated a difference score between the rank of the AAI and ARC, then applies scores to the top 5, top 6-10, and top 10-20 states to create a heat sheet. The results of my findings are here. Feel free to sort, resort, parse, edit as you see fit.

String Comparison Tool
This tool leveraging Microsoft Excel compares two strings to later identify what charachters are different... which is great for detailed programming or comparisons.
Copy each string you wish to compare in cell B1 and B2 up to 2048 charachters in length. Each charachter is broken down and compared. A CoMPare sub-column changes color and identifies what charachters are different in each string. Two macros help in the visualization using CTRL-Shift-S to show the visualization (charachter by charachter) in a long row, and CTRL-Shift-C clears the visual. The file has a preloaded exmaple. |

GPX Generator Tool
The GPX Generator is an Excel spreadsheet where you can generate a basic text file to be saved with a *.GPX extension. It's origins came from the creation of a file that can be easily used with an Indian Motorcycle's GPS System (called RideCommand). The file you create may (as in might) be usable in other GPS devices, and other online mapping utilities.

South Carolina Minimum Local Sales Tax 2020
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VBe_heNdu1Mqa7fysaT8WVcYoV8LvDkM&usp=sharing - After finally moving to South Carolina on TUE 14 JAN 2020, I was a little shocked when I've noticed that the sales tax I was payoing was somewhere between 10.5% and 11%, South Carolina won't tax any retirement funds, property taxes are dirt cheap... but the local governments make it up in personal property taxes (vehicles) and sales taxes. Yet, the state sales tax is only 6%. After some thoughtful research, I noticed that each zip code can have some variance. Your minimum sales tax will always be 6%, then you have city, county, and special rates that can be imposed on the good and services you purchase.
Here are two useful links that helped me understand how state and use taxes work in South Carolina:
From there, I took some time and created a graphic that has the minimux sales tax you will pay (for items that are subject to sales tax) by county. I moved to Myrtle Beach, and I'm going to do as much shopping in Georgetown county! Note below: |

Compare Online Fonts
In my opinion, I beleive typefaces and fonts should line up to a style of your choice and practical use. I work for an organization that manages certifications for employees, and I often find certificate codes to have chatachters that are hard to determine - even with OCR translation solutions.
Can't tell the difference between a capital "I" and the lowercase "l" or just wan to see how each case for "GQY" looks? Maybe you have a great font set, and find out one of the basic keyboard charachters looks a little too off-putting for your tastes like the hash tag (#), ampersand (&), parenthesis or even some punctuation charachters. I totally get it!
If you are a creative minded person and seek out fonts for personal or professional use, I find this specific charachter set to be useful to compare any font set you might have already downloaded, or are considering downloading...

Some awesome font websites include:
Are there other free font sites? Yes.
Are there other charachters I could use to compare key chatachters? Yes.
Are these sites my go-to options? Yes.
